Ngwenya Lodge

Ngwenya Lodge is situated on the southern bank of the Crocodile River where it flows across one of the richest game viewing areas of the Kruger National Park. This unique setting provides what is arguably one of the finest views of the Kruger National Park - a magnificent floodplain - with game viewing opportunities as good as they get.

Set on the very edge of the Crocodile River overlooking a magnificent floodplain on the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park in an area teeming with Big game. This situation makes for great game spotting as animals come across the floodplain to drink from the river. Birdlife is diverse and prolific (300 species). The crocodile bridge gate in the Kruger is 9km away.

Interiors

Ngwenya River Lodges represent the pinnacle of luxury, comfort and exclusivity at Ngwenya Lodge. Each of the luxurious air-conditioned double storey lodges has five en-suite bedrooms (three upstairs and two downstairs) sleeping up to 10 guests, a fully equipped kitchen and a private infinity pool with a view over the Kruger Park. Guests can experience the finest uninterrupted views of the river and adjoining Kruger National Park while relaxing in a well appointed bush home.

The lodges have been finished in a neutral earth tone colour and are appointed to a high standard with furnishings such as leather lounge couches and fully equipped granite top kitchens with ample fridge space for ten people as well as a dishwasher and washing machine. The lodges are air-conditioned throughout and have ceiling fans for added comfort. All of the en-suite bathrooms are fully tiled and have a bath and separate shower with superior fittings. Bedding and towels are supplied. Two bedrooms are furnished with king size double beds and three bedrooms have two single beds each. Guests must bring their own swimming towels. To ensure complete relaxation the lodges are serviced daily. The property has 24h gate security.

Exteriors

The facebrick under thatch lodges have been designed for indoor/outdoor living. Living areas open onto sandstone tiled verandas and expansive Zimbabwe Teak viewing decks which provide stunning close up and scenic panoramic views of the Kruger Park, river, floodplain and adjoining bush. You can even watch game (Big 5 included) from certain bedrooms and infinity plunge pool! Undercover parking is provided for three vehicles at each lodge.

Studio apartment - Sleeps 2

There are only 4 of these units that are located on the banks of the Crocodile River (Ngwenya on River). A typical 2 sleeper Studio Apartment / Bachelor Pad. Open plan kitchen and bedroom with one bathroom (shower and bath). From the open plan bedroom there is a sliding door which opens onto the veranda overlooking the Kruger National Park, with its own Braai area with table and chairs. All 2 sleeper units have air-conditioning and fans with 1 carport.
